Your Vulnerability.

Please pay attention.  
If you are doing well you have plenty to lose!  And if you are put out of business by a competitor, how would you begin again?  You may never get back up to the level of income you enjoy and you will cry a lot.
 
OK.  You're doing well, smug and happy!
And you think that you have it made because you're established!
Your company is making Millions!
And you're living the life and even driving that Ferrari or Rolls-Royce.
Ah, life is good.
You're a genius!
You're a hero!
You have it made!
 
Or do you?
 
If you don't have a solid Marketing Position and a defined Marketing Process that generates a Consistent and Predictable Result and are taking sales from the competition at will, you have nothing that will protect you from the coming attack!
 
You are winning by default! 
You are just a bit better than the competitor.  
And they can improve and beat you!
 
I've had a business owner that is doing $4 Million Gross Sales tell me that his competitors don't have any good service and do not even return customer calls promptly and that's how he took their business away.
 
Well and good.  But not strong enough to maintain their lead. 
 
He is winning by default.  All the competitor has to do is return calls promptly and suddenly he won't have an advantage.  His error is that he assumes that the competitor won't improve.  Of course they will!  Especially if he sees his business dwindling!
 
Understand this!  Your competitor is trying to improve and take your sales everyday!
 
If he figures it out then you will suffer! 
The difficult part about this is that you don't know who the competitor is that will come out of the blue and take your sales. 
 
Here is an example of my client that was a nothing money losing business that took sales from the established company and bankrupted them in 17 months from starting with me!  That company never ever thought of them as a competitor to their established business.  I don't think that company was even thinking about my little nothing client!
 
The established company was a Volvo Dealer who was established over 25 years and was big with over 50 cars on the lot and a 2 story building was put into bankruptcy by my client who was an ugly little auto shop.  We started with nothing and on the 17th month, my client bankrupted the large established dealer!  That's what happens to the competitor when I create a predictable and consistent sales close ratio!  The power of my marketing blows them away!  Click here to see Case #1: Buena Park Auto Tech.
 
The point being that you better be vigilant to future attacks and have defenses can save you.
 
The problem is of course that you don't know what your weaknesses are!  And you don't know how the attack will be implemented! 
 
Most businesses are so busy just getting by or growing that they never put any thought into how another company will successfully attack them!  You've never put any thought into that have you!  Of course not.
 
Yet my business, as a corporate strategist, is to study the competition and find their weaknesses so that we can attack them and take sales from them (take their market share)! 
 
This is what all the giant companies do which is why they became giant!  Just think Wal-Mart, Office Depot, McDonalds, etc.  They have a corporate strategist team that do nothing but try to figure out how to take sales from existing companies in their industry! 
 
There is no choice to this battle because business is a zero sum game.  The total sales of the country (GNP) only grows 1% to 3%.  The total sales in your industry in your area isn't growing much more.  So you either take the sales or your competitors do! 
 
You need to grow at least 500% just to make the money so you can protect your retirement so it has to come from the other company!  The reason you are not doing well is that currently, your sales are being taken by the competition!  We need to reverse that so that you can win and not lose!
 
On the other hand, I can make you a lot more money by building a Sales Engine, Frame and Gauges for you.
 
Here is a sample of a $6 Million Gross Sales company that had been losing sales to their smaller competitors for years.  After I built the Sales Engine they grew an extra $3 Million Gross Sales and an extra $1 Million in Net Profits in just a few months.  That's what happens when you can create a 71% consistent and predictable sales close ratio when before they couldn't even open new accounts!  Obviously taking $3 Million in sales from the market in your area has dire consequences for the competitors.  Most of the time I don't see them bleed and die but they do.   Click here to see Case #2: Palmer Company.
 
I have never seen a company with a good defense!
 
You need to build a defense as well as an offense.  Since 1985 I have never seen a company with any contingency planning in place!  Most companies that do well just sit there in their complacency which makes them an easy target!  They are too busy in their chaos (lack of Frame) to ever spend any time being the President of their own company!

So honestly ask yourself, do you have power in your marketplace which allows you to Predictably take sales from the competitor and have you thought through all your vulnerabilities and put up defenses to protect yourself from them?
 
Hardly likely.
 
And therefore you are vulnerable to attack!
What you have may disappear!
 
You don't believe this because you are doing millions in sales?
 
Just a couple of decades ago there were large lumber yards and large building supply companies each doing millions in sales.  Remember?
 
A few guys got together in Wall Street and counted them all up and wanted their business so they created Home Depot to take their sales away!  All those large lumber yards and large building supply companies which used to do millions in sales are now long gone and Home Depot's sales are second only to Wal-Mart!  They got that big by taking the sales away from all those lumber yards and building supply companies!
 
The point is that if you are doing millions in sales and your industry is doing billions in sales then the big guys with their well trained corporate strategists want your sales!  So you better figure out how you will protect yourself from them if you can because the are coming sooner or later!
 
So you're doing well, smug and happy!
And you think that you have it made because you're established!
